Smokehouse Pictures is an independent, artist-led studio reinventing the relationship between talent, studio, and distributor.
We prioritize creators and collaborate with them through an innovative business model, allowing each to fully participate and
realize the added value they bring to a project.
Smokehouse Pictures was co-founded by George Clooney and Grant Heslov in 2006.
The company signed a long-term production and development agreement with Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Bros. Television in July 2006.
In June 2009, the company signed a two-year exclusive film development and production agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment. Since its inception, Smokehouse Pictures has produced several notable films, such as The Ides of March (2011), Argo (2012), The Monuments Men (2014), Money Monster (2016), Suburbicon (2017), Midnight Sky (2020), The Tender Bar (2021), The Boys in the Boat (2023), and Wolfs (2024).
The company has also produced television series such as Memphis Beat (2010-2011), Catch-22 (2019)
and On Becoming a God in Central Florida (2019).
We develop films for the cinema as executive producers and support international filmmakers as co-producers.
We also develop emerging formats for new media, notably in partnership
with Warner Bros.
